In a recent interview, billionaire tech mogul Elon Musk took aim at newly elected Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, claiming that he was being funded by none other than infamous billionaire philanthropist George Soros.
“Let me tell you, folks, this Alvin Bragg guy, he’s a real piece of work,” Musk said in the interview. “And I’m not just saying that because he’s a Democrat.
No, no, no. The real problem here is that he’s being propped up by George Soros, who we all know is a shadowy figure intent on destroying America.”
Musk went on to claim that Bragg was part of a larger Soros-funded plot to dismantle law and order in America’s cities and pave the way for a socialist takeover.
“I mean, just look at his policies. He’s soft on crime, he’s against cash bail, he wants to decriminalize certain drugs. It’s all part of the plan, folks. Soros is pulling the strings behind the scenes, and Bragg is just his puppet.”
When pressed for evidence to support his claims, Musk became evasive, insisting that “the truth is out there” and that people just needed to “connect the dots.”
But despite Musk’s inflammatory rhetoric, many legal experts have pointed out that Bragg’s policies are not radical or extreme, but rather in line with current criminal justice reform efforts.
In response to Musk’s accusations, Bragg issued a statement saying, “I am proud to be supported by a wide range of individuals and organizations who believe in the need for meaningful criminal justice reform.
As district attorney, my focus will always be on making our city safer and fairer for all New Yorkers, regardless of their background or socioeconomic status.”
As for Soros, a representative for the billionaire philanthropist declined to comment on Musk’s allegations, saying only that Soros remained committed to supporting organizations that promote human rights, democracy, and the rule of law around the world.
