Rob Schneider has responded to comments from Jennifer Aniston after the actress mocked his political views, saying he would rather avoid turning a disagreement over politics into a personal feud.
Schneider said Aniston has generally been friendly toward him in the past, making the latest exchange particularly disappointing.
“She has always been nice to me,” Schneider said. “This situation has gone too far, but there’s no need to be rude about it.”
Rather than escalating the disagreement, Schneider said he has little interest in getting pulled into a public argument. The comedian explained that he doesn’t enjoy starting conflicts and would prefer to focus his attention elsewhere.
“I am just a comedian who loves his country,” Schneider said. “Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and I am not going to change anything.”
The comments come as political disagreements among Hollywood entertainers continue to spill into public conversations. Actors and comedians have increasingly used interviews, social media and public appearances to discuss their political views, sometimes leading to clashes between people who previously worked together or maintained friendly relationships.
Schneider said he believes disagreements are inevitable, particularly in an industry where performers come from very different political backgrounds.
For him, however, there is a distinction between criticizing someone’s ideas and making the disagreement personal.
“You can disagree with me,” Schneider said. “That’s completely fine. But there’s no reason we have to make it personal.”
The comedian also pointed to his ongoing professional commitments as another reason he isn’t interested in spending his time responding to Hollywood gossip.
Schneider is currently booked for a Las Vegas residency extending through 2030, giving him plenty of opportunities to focus on performing rather than engaging in celebrity disputes.
He said his priority remains his comedy career and connecting with audiences.
“I’ve got shows to do,” Schneider said. “That’s where my energy belongs.”
The comedian’s response appeared deliberately measured compared with the increasingly heated political arguments that frequently dominate entertainment news.
Rather than challenge Aniston to another public exchange, Schneider said he would rather let his work speak for itself.
“The best way to respond is to keep working,” he said.
Schneider has spent decades in comedy and has appeared in numerous films and television productions. He has also developed a reputation for being outspoken about his political beliefs, particularly through interviews and social media.
That openness has occasionally placed him at odds with other entertainers.
Still, Schneider said he doesn’t expect everyone around him to share his views.
“Everyone is entitled to their opinion,” he repeated. “I’m not going to change anything just because someone disagrees with me.”
The comments suggest that Schneider does not intend to turn the latest disagreement into an ongoing feud.
For now, he appears more interested in returning to the stage, continuing his residency and concentrating on his own career.
Whatever happens between Schneider and Aniston next, the comedian says he has no plans to spend his time trading insults.
Instead, he believes the simplest response is to keep doing what he has always done: make people laugh, perform his shows and move on from the controversy.
“I’d rather be on stage than arguing with somebody,” Schneider said. “That’s where I’m happiest.”
With years remaining on his Las Vegas schedule, Schneider appears to have plenty of work ahead—and little interest in letting a Hollywood disagreement distract him from it.
