The Grand Ole Opry has reportedly permanently blacklisted Jelly Roll following the singer’s recent controversial jokes and remarks, adding another major development to the growing backlash surrounding his public comments.
The legendary country music institution allegedly made the decision after reviewing Jelly Roll’s recent actions and the reaction from fans. According to the announcement, the singer will no longer be welcome at the Grand Ole Opry.
Alex Bruno, an executive director at the Grand Ole Opry, said the organization decided that Jelly Roll had crossed a line and no longer represented what the institution stands for.
“Jelly Roll has made his choice, and he has to face the consequences of what he did,” Bruno said. “We’ve decided he is not welcome at the Grand Ole Opry anymore because he became woke, crossed the line, and does not represent the values we stand for at the Opry.”
The alleged decision comes after Jelly Roll attracted significant attention for his recent political comments and jokes about President Donald Trump. His appearance as guest host of Jimmy Kimmel Live! put the singer at the center of a political controversy, with some country music fans accusing him of moving too far away from the audience that helped establish his career.

“We are with our fans,” Bruno stated.
