Elon Musk: ‘Work ethic expectations would be extreme for Twitter’

Elon Musk is the founder, CEO, and Chief Engineer of SpaceX, as well as a Tesla, Inc. angel investor, CEO, and Product Architect. Elon Musk is preparing to seize complete control of Twitter. Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has said that work ethic standards for Twitter staff would be “severe.”

If Elon Musk successfully completes his purchase of Twitter, the social media platform’s staff should expect a clear direction from its new owner, which will undoubtedly be challenging. Musk and the Twitter Board of Directors have agreed to acquire the social media company for $54.20 per share. The $44 billion deal effectively converts Twitter into a private company.

Since Musk reached a deal with Twitter’s Board, job interest in available positions has increased by more than 250 percent, according to Teslarati. Musk will also serve as the company’s interim CEO when the buyout is completed. Musk provided some thoughts and expectations for anybody interested in working at Twitter in the midst of these reports. If Musk’s purchase goes through, the social media company will be focused on “hardcore software engineering, design, infosec, and server hardware,” according to Musk.

In a follow-up post, Musk warned Twitter staff that the company’s work ethic demands will be “severe.” This still suggests that under Musk, Twitter staff would work very hard, since the CEO has extremely high and perhaps abnormal work ethic demands for himself.

With Tesla’s Model X and Model 3 ramp challenges, Musk showed this. Both cars had major delays, placing strain on the firm, and Musk chose to sleep on the Fremont factory floor in order to address problems as they arose. It was a difficult labor, but Musk seems to thrive on it.

Musk’s high expectations for Twitter workers might attract a lot of talented people. Musk’s two primary businesses, Tesla and SpaceX, demonstrate this.

Both companies are recognized for having high employee standards, but they also consistently rank among the most enticing places to work for job seekers. For example, Tesla recently revealed in its 2021 Impact Report that it received 3 million job applications in only one year. It’s unclear how existing Twitter workers will react to Musk’s recent statements about his labor expectations. Let’s see what occurs next.
