Elon Musk on poverty: “Education is the path out of poverty.”

Late on Thursday night, Elon Musk posted some ideas on Twitter regarding reducing poverty. Many people have condemned him for becoming a millionaire, particularly those who want to deceive the gullible populace into believing that Elon Musk is to blame for their misery.

Elon Musk said that “education is the route out of poverty and access to the Internet facilitates education.” Last night, Elon Musk responded to a group of Tesla owners from Silicon Valley who had pointed out that Starlink’s ability to link up schools in the Amazon rainforest was a key factor in expanding educational opportunities there.

SpaceX is assisting the local community in getting access to the essential education that would enable them to escape poverty by supplying Starlink internet to schools in the Amazon region. Regarding Starlink services in the Republic of Zambia, SpaceX is also in discussions with government representatives there.

Elon Musk has already identified education as a key component in eradicating poverty. In my personal interview with Elon Musk in July, I asked him which achievements of his foundation he was most proud of. We spoke about poverty and the Musk Foundation throughout our conversation.

He didn’t believe the foundation had done enough, he told me right away. However, he believed that funding an education XPRIZE that emphasized bettering literacy was beneficial.

“I thought it was nice and I thought it was beneficial. Because people may now acquire skills, he said, “to the extent that one can raise literacy, you’re really enhancing everything about any particular culture. It’s essentially difficult to bring someone out of poverty if they are unable to read.

Elon stressed that access to the internet and literacy were crucial for addressing poverty. He continued by saying that because billions of people worldwide lack internet access or have extremely limited bandwidth, we need to consider beyond the borders of the United States. This is the situation in many regions of the globe, where there are billions of people, Elon stated.
