According to reports, Musk and that executive, Shivon Zilis, petitioned the court to have the children’s names changed to reflect both of their surnames. According to the source, a Texas court granted the petition. The names of the kids were kept private by Insider. A few weeks before the tech tycoon fathered a second kid with singer Claire Boucher, who goes by the stage name Grimes, Musks’ twins with Zilis allegedly arrived.
If the Tesla and SpaceX CEO had twins, he will now have nine children in total—two with Zilis, two with Boucher, five from his previous marriage to Justine Musk, and two with Zilis. Musk has long been outspoken about his concerns about population reduction and has argued in favor of encouraging people to have more children. Zilis did not respond to Fortune’s request for comment right away.
Requests for a response from Tesla were not immediately fulfilled. According to Bloomberg, Musk is presently the wealthiest person in the world, with a net worth of around 208 billion. Along with running Tesla and SpaceX, he just reached an agreement to buy Twitter in April, but the transaction has not yet been consummated. In 2016, Musk developed Neuralink.
According to the company’s mission statement, it is “developing the future of brain interfaces: making devices that will assist those who are paralyzed today and inventing new technologies that will increase our capabilities, our communities, and our planet.”
According to her LinkedIn profile, Zilis is the head of operations and special initiatives at Neuralink. Prior to that, she was a project director at Tesla and employed by the nonprofit organization OpenAI, which Musk co-founded. She is a Yale University alumna. She was included as a founder member of Bloomberg Beta, an early-stage venture capital company backed exclusively by Bloomberg, on a Forbes list of the 30 under 30 for venture capital in 2015.
At the time, Forbes said that Zilis “looks for businesses combining data and machine intelligence in novel ways.”
When California Assemblywoman Lorena Gonzalez Fletcher attacked Musk in 2020 after he reopened one of his Tesla facilities against California’s COVID limitations, Zilis earlier praised Musk on Twitter. Gonzalez Fletcher also charged Tesla with “union-busting” and intimidating public employees.
Zilis said, “This makes me sad. “No one is flawless, but I’ve never encountered someone who has endured greater personal suffering over a long period of time to fight for an inspirational future for mankind.
Everyone is free to believe what they want, but in my view, there isn’t a single person I respect and adore more.” Gonzalez Fletcher’s tweet seemed to be a factor in Musk’s 2021 announcement that Tesla will relocate from California to Texas, according to The Daily Beast. Musk sent a father’s day tweet to his 100 million followers last month. He wrote, “I adore all my kids very much.
