After Anheuser Busch’s latest botched PR campaign with Dylan Mulvaney, Twitter CEO and meme fanatic Elon Musk has indicated an interest in purchasing the firm.
Musk tweeted that he thought it would be a good idea to diversify his holdings by purchasing a beer firm like Anheuser Busch. He has the financial wherewithal to make a significant purchase, with an estimated net worth of over $200 billion.
Although it may seem unlikely that Musk would enter the beer market, he has previously experimented with solar power, tunnelling, and even brain implants.
Anheuser Busch has seen dwindling sales and a change in customer tastes towards craft beer, but several industry analysts are sceptical that he can turn the company around.
One of Anheuser Busch’s most popular beers, Bud Light, has been called into doubt by experts who wonder whether Musk has ever tried it.
Additionally, some have questioned whether it is morally acceptable for a tech millionaire to run a large beer firm.
Some people are sceptical that Musk is the right person to run such a cherished American brand as Budweiser because of the criticism he has received for his labour practises and his lack of concern for worker safety.
Despite the backlash, Musk still seems determined to dominate the beer market. He tweeted that he would create an intergalactic beer named “Musk’s Malty Marvel” if Anheuser Busch would not allow him to purchase the firm.
Whether or if Musk truly achieves his beer-related goals is still to be known, but for the time being, all we can do is watch as this erratic tech billionaire causes waves in the corporate world in ways we never imagined imaginable.
