Donald Trump: Elon Musk begged for subsidies, ‘Driverless Cars that crash’ and ‘rocketships to nowhere’

Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, and Donald Trump, a former US president, seem to be in an ongoing verbal spat. Instead, it simply seems to be escalating day by day. Tuesday night, Trump reacted to a slew of tweets the tech magnate had sent on Monday urging him to give up politics. “I could have said, ‘down to your knees and beg,’ and he would have done it,” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social.

“When Elon Musk came to the White House begging for assistance with all of his several funded projects, including rocketships to nowhere, autonomous vehicles that crash, or electric cars that don’t drive for long enough, without which subsidies he’d be useless, I could have told him to “down to your knees and beg,” and he would have followed my advice. Trump posted the first message.

Musk tweeted “Lmaooo” in response to Trump’s jabs and then shared a Simpsons clip in reference to the “Old Man Yells at Cloud” joke. Musk’s comments encouraging the former US President to sail off into the sunset and stop participating in active politics followed Trump’s accusations that Musk had sought government funding for his enterprises.

Musk had previously said on Twitter, “I don’t dislike the guy, but it’s time for Trump to hang up his hat & sail into the sunset.” Dems have to stop their onslaught as well; don’t make it such that Trump can only survive by winning the presidency once again.

The accusations made by Trump against the CEO of Tesla prompted the tweets. Earlier that week, during a gathering in Alaska, Trump accused Musk of lying about casting his ballot for him. “He stated a while back. He claimed to have supported me, therefore he is just another bullshitter, according to Trump.

Trump also made fun of Musk after learning that Twitter was suing Musk and Space X for breaching the terms of their agreement to buy the social media giant. Now that he may owe $44 billion for a possible immaterial item, Elon should concentrate on clearing his name from the Twitter debacle. There is a lot of competition for electric vehicles as well! Added Trump.
