Real-life action icon Tom Cruise could be sent to the International Space Station after doing every conceivable risky feat on Earth. The “Top Gun Maverick” actor may be sent into space to do a spacewalk for a future movie, making him the first civilian to do so, according to Mirror.co.uk.

In a future film, the 60-year-old Hollywood actor might, if everything goes according to plan, make history onboard the International Space Station, Universal chairperson Dame Donna Langley revealed.

Before stepping off the rocket, Tom Cruise, according to the 54-year-old British film producer, will be propelled into space. This would all be documented for the movie on camera.

It would be just another incredible feat the ‘Top Gun’ actor has accomplished on the big screen, after things like learning to fly aircraft, abseiling down the world’s tallest building, and climbing cliffs.

According to Donna, who was reported by Mirror in an interview with the BBC, “We have a terrific idea in discussion with Tom that does envisage his taking a rocket to the Space Station.”

She said, “And ideally he will be the first citizen to do a space walk outside of the International Space Station. She added a few facts on Tom Cruise’s persona in the shrouded blockbuster: He will portray a down-on-his-luck character who discovers that he is the only one who can preserve Earth.
