In a surprise announcement, tech visionary Elon Musk revealed his latest project: colonizing Mars with Twitter users.
“I’ve always been interested in space travel, and I think it’s time we take the next step as a species and start building a new home on Mars,” said Musk in a tweet. “And what better way to do that than with the millions of Twitter users out there?”
According to Musk, the plan is to launch a spacecraft that will carry a select group of Twitter users to the red planet, where they will establish a new colony. The spacecraft will be equipped with everything necessary for survival, including food, water, and air purification systems.
“We’ll be able to tweet from space, and make memes about the Martian landscape,” said Musk. “It’s going to be epic.”
The project has received a mixed reaction from the public, with some praising Musk’s vision and others calling it a publicity stunt. But for those who are selected to go on the mission, it’s an opportunity of a lifetime.
