Elon Musk responds to CBS returning to Twitter after ‘uncertainity’

The decision was made official by CBS News on Friday while covering Twitter’s massive layoffs.

That didn’t last nearly as long as I had hoped. Radio and television network CBS has reversed its decision after making a lot of news lately for “pausing” its Twitter activity due to Elon Musk’s leadership of the social media site. Twitter was used to announce the upgrade.

CBS News said that it was taking the Twitter break out of an excess of caution when it made the announcement.

CBS News Bay Area has paused its participation on the social media site as we continue to watch it because of the uncertainty surrounding Twitter and out of an abundance of caution, the news organization said on Twitter.

Musk’s handling of the social media platform came under fire when CBS said it was stopping its Twitter activity.

It’s worth noting that Elon Musk, just before the network’s tweet, had announced the unbanning of other accounts, including those of Jordan Peterson, Kathy Griffin, and The Babylon Bee.

On Saturday, Musk also conducted a public vote to decide if the account of former US President Donald Trump should be reinstated. At the poll’s conclusion, Trump’s account was made active again.

CBS’ opinions of Musk’s social media startup seemed to have shifted by Sunday. CBS announced its decision to restart its Twitter engagement in a message on the account used for business communications.

The PR account for CBS News said, “After halting for most of the weekend to examine the security concerns, CBS News and Stations is resuming its activities on Twitter as we continue to watch the situation.”

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, posted a chuckling emoji in reaction to the network’s message after it abruptly left the social media network and returned shortly after.

Additionally, a few Twitter users made fun of CBS since their social media break did not even last the whole weekend.

Despite all the comedy, CBS’ return does provide the impression that some advertisers—like General Motors, Audi, and Pfizer—may later reconsider their decision to leave Twitter following Musk’s takeover.

Things at the social media firm do seem to be cooling down, even if Musk’s Twitter redesign is likely facing its most difficult weeks ahead as the company functions with much lower personnel.

Elon Musk recently shared a series of images from the Twitter office, which showed numerous staff members staying up with him long past midnight.

In general, Twitter is resolved to emerge from its present predicament stronger than it has ever been, which suggests that the next weeks will likely be filled with a lot of intriguing developments.
