‘Mars needs people’: Elon Musk tells Mark Cuban when asked about kids

Elon Musk has made it known that he reproduces in order to populate Mars. Perhaps he is not kidding. The “Shark Tank” billionaire Mark Cuban discussed a recent text conversation he had with Musk on the birth of one of his children on a podcast on Thursday. “Yes, he had another child. This occurred before the final three or whatever, “Business Insider quotes Cuban as saying.

He was probably alluding to the three kids Musk had in 2021—one with artist Grimes and the other two with employees of the company he controls, Neuralink, which makes brain implants. I’m thinking, “Dude, congrats, how many are you having?” Cuban remembered. He replies to my SMS by saying, “Mars needs humans.”

Musk, who sometimes tweets his worries about population decline, is the father of nine known kids. He revealed in June that he had surreptitiously fathered twins with Shivon Zilis, an executive at Neuralink.

Errol Musk, his estranged father, who is 76 years old, said last month that he and his 35-year-old stepdaughter had a child in 2019. According to Business Insider, he was married to his stepdaughter’s mother for 18 years. The senior Musk allegedly added, echoing his son, “The only thing we are on Earth for is reproduction.” “I would have more kids if I could. I don’t see why I shouldn’t.”
